As race and show season is among us we are excited to hear about all the cool stuff our customers are up to. We hope to celebrate the wins and exhibitions in the coming newsletters, so let us know what you are doing and how you are WINNING this season.

Robert Bohigian Dragger

Last year we connected with Robert Bohigian. Like many of you he works the grind all week to take his Harley out to the drags on the weekends and compete. We shared a bit of his story preparing his AHDRA Super Gas 9.70 scoot with Burns Collector/Muffler combo. He set up his bike with a slip-on style open exhaust and in 5 minutes can convert it with the lightweight muffler required for Wednesday night racing at his local track.

GPR Motorsport

Meanwhile, up in Pennsylvania, Sterling Cole and the crew at GPR Autosport are beginning the season of SCCA racing with their GT2 RX7. In pre-season build/test/tune they have been able to sort out a lot of issues that comes with bringing a new car out racing. Part of the reason for a test/tune day on the track involved measuring the muffler dB ratings. The 1-stage muffler reduced the screamin' rotary from 104dB to track legal limit of 96dB. They pushed the i-Rotary APEX Seals to the limits with EGT temps of 1800° at points at the end of the main straight and back straight with no hiccups. At a new track for the team, they also tested the set points for warnings of their Haltech ECU. At one point they went off the track and the front inlet of the car was covered with grass causing coolant temps to rise to 225° warning them to come into the pits. The test session proved positive their months of hard work. Now time to focus on some changes to make the car more competitive for the season.

Jason Broski Bagger Dragger
Jason Broski of Ypsilanti, Michigan is celebrating his two class wins on on Round 1 of the recent AHWS in Fayetteville, NC. The all motor Ward Performance equipped Harley-Davidson Road King with our Harley NhB exhaust. The Bagger Dragger finished the quarter mile at 148.76 MPH in just under 9 seconds. We will be watching as he goes against Dwane Gee at the Cornbelt Bagger Nationals Grudge Race in August at Eddyville Raceway Park.

Singer Vehicle Design

The folks at Singer Vehicle Design are re-imagining the iconic Porsche brand. And, yes they prefer the “high-performing and striking” Burns Stainless exhaust. A recent 1990 Porsche Targa hit the auction block at over $1.1 Million. With an equally striking color pallet the Rubystone red body and navy blue interior features an Ed Pink Racing boxer flat-six to 4.0 liters

In a bit over a month from now we will be headed out to the Born Free Motorcycle Show June 25/26. As a sponsor of the event, we will have a booth there to not only showcase our NhB (No Holds Barred) exhaust systems for Harley-Davidson M8 and Pan America™ but to meet with our current and new customers. Our goal is to find the stories behind the bikes and learn more about how we can help them solve their exhaust and performance issues. Please take a moment and stop by for a visit.

In the meantime, we want to hear from you! Please send us a note about how you are using and enjoying your Burns Stainless exhaust. Share some photos of your vehicle and, well, brag a little! You deserve it.
