NhB BRUSHED STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST
Care & Maintenance
BEFORE FIRST START
Clean the entire exhaust system before starting the motorcycle.
Remove fingerprints, oil, grease and installation residue with a clean microfiber cloth and mild cleaner. Residue left on the stainless may discolor when heated.
ROUTINE CLEANING

Allow the exhaust to cool completely.

Wash with mild soap and water.

Use a soft microfiber cloth or wash mitt.

Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Remove bugs, road grime and salt deposits promptly.
CARING FOR THE BRUSHED FINISH
For light marks or scuffs, use a fine non-metallic abrasive pad.
Always work in the same direction as the existing brushed grain.
Do not use steel wool, wire brushes or coarse abrasives.
HEAT COLOR
Gold, bronze, blue or purple discoloration is normal on uncoated stainless steel.
Excessive or rapidly changing discoloration may indicate high exhaust temperatures or an improper engine tune.

Signs of exhaust leaks
After the first heat cycle, allow the system to cool and recheck all hardware.

CARE FOR CERAMIC COATED EXHAUST
Do not use:

Metal or chrome polish
-
Steel wool
-
Abrasive pads
-
Wire brushes
-
Harsh degreasers
-
Acidic or abrasive cleaners
WATCH FOR EXCESSIVE HEAT
Excessive exhaust temperature can discolor or damage the ceramic coating.
Unusual discoloration, blistering or flaking may indicate excessive heat or an improper engine tune.
