Shipping Protection Coverage

Burns Stainless offers optional Shipping Protection for orders shipped through our website. Shipping Protection covers loss or damage to an order while it is in transit to the delivery address provided at checkout.

If Shipping Protection is selected at checkout, Burns Stainless will replace or refund items that are lost or damaged during shipment, subject to the terms below.

Coverage Limits

Shipping Protection covers:

  • Up to $5,000 per shipment

  • Coverage applies only to the original purchase value of the products

Shipping Protection does not cover cash, gift cards, or items not purchased directly from Burns Stainless.

Coverage Period

Coverage begins when the package leaves the Burns Stainless facility and continues until the shipment is:

  • Delivered to the shipping address provided at checkout, or

  • Returned to Burns Stainless by the carrier.

Claims Eligibility

Shipping Protection applies to:

Lost Packages

  • Claims may be submitted 7 days after the last tracking update for domestic shipments.

  • Claims must be submitted within 30 days of the last carrier tracking update.

Delivered but Missing (Possible Theft)

  • Claims must be submitted within 30 days of carrier delivery confirmation.

  • Burns Stainless may require:

    • A signed affidavit of non-receipt

    • A police report or security camera evidence for theft claims.

Damaged Shipments

  • Claims must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.

  • Photographs of the package and damaged items are required.

Claim Resolution

If a claim is approved, Burns Stainless will, at its discretion:

  • Replace the item(s), or

  • Issue a refund for the value of the item(s).

Refunds are limited to the original purchase price of the items.

Exclusions

Shipping Protection does not cover:

  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses entered at checkout

  • Delays in transit

  • Normal wear or cosmetic damage

  • Damage caused after delivery

  • Packages that show confirmed delivery by the carrier unless theft is documented

  • Loss caused by fraud or dishonest acts

Coverage may be denied if packaging or handling by the recipient contributes to the loss or damage.
