Burns Lightweight mufflers can be packed with high temperature fiberglass, stainless steel scrubble or, for some sizes, both.
Fiberglass is the least expensive, quietest and lightest option and works well in most cases where the muffler is located away from the engine.
For extreme and higher temperature applications, we recommend using stainless steel scrubble. It is more durable than fiberglass, but heavier, more expensive and louder (1-2 dB in most cases).
